Pear and maple-sauced pork chops

Ingredients:
1 largePear, ripe, cored & sliced
1/4 cupFinely chopped onion
1/3 cupMaple-flavored syrup
1 tbspMargarine or butter, melted
1/4 tspGinger
4 (4 oz) boneless pork loin
-chops, trimmed of all fat
1/2 tspSalt
1/4 tspPepper
1 tspMaple flavor
Procedures:
1In a medium bowl, combine pear, onion, syrup, margarine (butter) and ginger; mix well.
2Set aside.
3Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper.
4Spray heavy nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
5Heat over medium high heat until hot.
6Add pork chops.
7Cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until browned.
8Pour pear mixture over pork chops.
9Reduce heat to medium-low heat and cover and cook 12-15 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink.
10Place pork chops on serving platter; cover to keep warm.
11Cook sauce over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring constantly.
12Stir in maple flavor.
13Spoon sauce over chops.
