Ingredients:
| 1
| large | Pear, ripe, cored & sliced | | 1/4
| cup | Finely chopped onion | | 1/3
| cup | Maple-flavored syrup | | 1
| tbsp | Margarine or butter, melted | | 1/4
| tsp | Ginger | | 4
| | (4 oz) boneless pork loin | | | -chops, trimmed of all fat | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tsp | Pepper | | 1
| tsp | Maple flavor |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a medium bowl, combine pear, onion, syrup, margarine (butter) and ginger; mix well. | | 2 | Set aside. | | 3 | Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper. | | 4 | Spray heavy nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. | | 5 | Heat over medium high heat until hot. | | 6 | Add pork chops. | | 7 | Cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until browned. | | 8 | Pour pear mixture over pork chops. | | 9 | Reduce heat to medium-low heat and cover and cook 12-15 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink. | | 10 | Place pork chops on serving platter; cover to keep warm. | | 11 | Cook sauce over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring constantly. | | 12 | Stir in maple flavor. | | 13 | Spoon sauce over chops. | | 14 | Nutritional info: per serving calories - 290; fat 11 gm; sodium 63 mg dietary exchanges: 3 meats, 2 fruits |
