Ingredients:

| | Pork Chops, ?" thick | | | Salt & Pepper | | | Shortening for Browning | | 1/4
| cup | Chopped onion | | 1/2
| cup | Uncooked rice, not the quick | | 3/4
| cup | Water | | 1/2
| cup | Peeled and chopped tart appl | | 1/2
| cup | Orange sections | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/8
| tsp | Poultry seasoning |

Procedures:
| 1 | Trim excess fat from pork chops; season lightly with salt and pepper. | | 2 | Brown quickly in shortening. | | 3 | Pour from skillet all but 1 t. of drippings. | | 4 | Saute onion in the fat. | | 5 | Combine all remaining ingredients except pork chops with the onion; mix well, then pour into a greased 2 qt. shallow casserole. | | 6 | Arrange chops on this mixture. | | 7 | Cover & bake at 350 °F about 45 minutes. | | 8 | Makes 4 servings. | | 9 | Ann in n |
