Ingredients:
2 lbsLamb neck or breast
Well trimmed
1/2 cupPearl barley
1 tbspSalt
3 Peppercorns
1 medOnion, chopped
2 Celery, sliced
1 Turnip, peel/dice
10 ozFrozen peas, thawed
1 tspLeaf thyme
1/4 tspTabasco sauce
Procedures:
1Combine all ingredients in crock-pot.
2Add water to cover; stir well.
3Cover and cook on low setting 10-12 hours or high 4-5 hours.
4Remove meat; bone and trim off any remaining fat.
5Dice meat.
6Skim off fat from liquid and return meat to crock-pot.
