| 1 | Serve this hearty hamburger that"s big enough for a whole group. |
| 2 | In large bowl, gently, but thoroughly, mix all ingredients together. |
| 3 | Shape seasoned pork into a ball, and cover and refrigerate until ready to grill. |
| 4 | (can be prepared up to 24 hours ahead of time). |
| 5 | Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal or gas grill. |
| 6 | Remove seasoned pork from refrigerator. |
| 7 | On a piece of waxed paper, pat into a round patty that measures 11 inches in diameter (or 1 inch larger than bread). |
| 8 | Invert patty onto the grill; peel off waxed paper. |
| 9 | Cook for about 8 minutes on each side. |
| 10 | Turn burger over by sliding it onto a flat baking sheet, using a second baking sheet to help push it on. |
| 11 | Sandwich the burger between the two sheets, hold them together and invert the patty. |
| 12 | Slide the big burger back onto the grill, cooked side up. |
| 13 | Continue cooking for another 8 minutes. |
| 14 | If desired, toast the bread, cut side down. |
| 15 | To serve, slide the burger onto the bottom half of the bread, using a baking sheet. |
| 16 | Cut into serving-size wedges. |
