Ingredients:

| cup | Cooked AM Beans | | | -(Adzuki Beans, Pinto Beans | | | - Kidney Beans, Black Beans | | | - Anasazi Beans) | | 2
| cup | Water or stock | | 2
| tbsp | Lime juice | | 4
| tsp | Olive oil | | 2
| small | Onions, finely chopped | | 2
| tsp | Chili powder | | 2
| tsp | Sea salt, OR... | | 2
| tbsp | Tamari soy sauce |

Procedures:
| 1 | Simmer all ingredients until thick. | | 2 | Garnish with plain yogurt. | | 3 | To cook beans: rinse beans. | | 4 | Cook 2 cups beans in 5 cups water. | | 5 | Bring water to a boil. | | 6 | Add beans. | | 7 | Turn temperature to low or simmer. | | 8 | Cover with heavy lid. | | 9 | Simmer 2 to 3 hours until tender. | | 10 | Do not season until beans are done. | | 11 | Variation: saute chopped green peppers, 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, 2 stalks of celery chopped, until barely tender. | | 12 | Add to soup and simmer. |
