Savory bean soup

Ingredients:
4 cupCooked AM Beans
-(Adzuki Beans, Pinto Beans
- Kidney Beans, Black Beans
- Anasazi Beans)
2 cupWater or stock
2 tbspLime juice
4 tspOlive oil
2 smallOnions, finely chopped
2 tspChili powder
2 tspSea salt, OR...
2 tbspTamari soy sauce
Procedures:
1Simmer all ingredients until thick.
2Garnish with plain yogurt.
3To cook beans: rinse beans.
4Cook 2 cups beans in 5 cups water.
5Bring water to a boil.
6Add beans.
7Turn temperature to low or simmer.
8Cover with heavy lid.
9Simmer 2 to 3 hours until tender.
10Do not season until beans are done.
11Variation: saute chopped green peppers, 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, 2 stalks of celery chopped, until barely tender.
12Add to soup and simmer.
