Crockpot southwestern beef and beans

Ingredients:
1 lbsDried pinto beans
6 cupWater
1/2 lbsSalt pork, cut up
1 lbsChuck steak, 1-inch cubed
1 Red chili pepper
1 Medium onion, chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 1/2 tbspChili powder
1 tspCumin seeds
1/2 tspMarjoram
Procedures:
1Soak beans in water overnight.
2Brown salt pork in skillet; drain off fat in paper towels.
3In slow-cooking pot, combine soaked beans (with water), browned pork and remaining ingredients.
4Cover and cook 1 hour on high; reduce heat to low and cook an additional 8 to 9 hours
