Ingredients:

| | Pastry for 9"-10" flan pan | | 6
| | Apples, Golden Delicious | | | -large | | 1
| tbsp | Lemon juice | | 1/4
| cup | Sugar, granulated | | 1/2
| cup | Raisins, optional | | 1
| tsp | Butter, melted | | 1/2
| cup | Jam, apricot | | | Whipped cream - optional |

Procedures:
| 1 | Roll pastry out and fit into flan pan. | | 2 | Peel and core apples, cut into slices about ? thick, you should have about 6 cups. | | 3 | Toss with lemon juice and sugar. | | 4 | Arrange apple slices; slightly overlapping in circles on pastry; make 2 or 3 layers. | | 5 | Scatter raisins over top if desired. | | 6 | Drizzle with melted butter. | | 7 | Place on bottom rack of 400f oven and bake for 35 minutes or till golden brown. | | 8 | If apples start too brown too much, cover loosely with foil. | | 9 | In small, saucepan, heat apricot jam till melted, spoon evenly over apples. | | 10 | Bake for about 5 minutes. | | 11 | Lonfer or till apples are glazed. | | 12 | Let cool to room temperature. | | 13 | Serve with whipped cream if desired. |
