| | Head cabbage, cut in wedges | | 1
| dash | Pepper and paprika | | | Salt, if desired |

Procedures:
| 1 | Simmer ham shanks in water 1-?to 2 hours or until meat falls off bones. | | 2 | Remove bones. | | 3 | Add sausage. | | 4 | Simmer 20-30 minutes. | | 5 | Add carrots,onions, tomatoes and tomato sauce; cook until carrots are at parboil stage. | | 6 | Add potatoes, beans, cabbage and seasonings. | | 7 | Simmer until vegetables are done. |
