Pasta & garbanzo bean soup

Ingredients:
2 tbspOlive oil
1 cupCanned crushed tomatoes
-with added puree
2 Garlic cloves, chopped
2 Fresh rosemary sprigs
4 cupVegetable broth or
-low-salt chicken broth
2 can15-16 oz, garbanzo beans
-rinsed and drained
4 ozFresh fettucine, cut into
-3/8 inch pieces
Procedures:
1Heat oil in heavy large saucepan over medium heat.
2Add tomatoes, garlic and rosemary.
3Simmer 5 minutes.
4Add 3 cups broth; stir to blend.
5Puree remaining 1 cup broth and 1 cup of the garbanzo beans.
6Add to saucepan.
7Add remaining whole garbanzo beans.
8Bring to a boil.
9Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
10Add the pasta and simmer until tender, about 10 minutes.
11Season with salt and pepper.
12Serve, passing freshly grated parmesan cheese separately.
