Ingredients:

| lbs | Ground Beef | | 1
| cup | Apple, Finely Chopped, * | | 1/3
| cup | Green Onion/tops, Chopped | | 1
| each | Egg, Large | | 1
| tbsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tbsp | Cinnamon | | 1
| dash | Cloves, Ground | | 8
| oz | Brown And Serve Sausage, ** | | 2
| tbsp | Flour, Unbleached | | 1
| tbsp | Instant Beef Bouillon | | 1
| cup | Water |

Procedures:
| 1 | * apple should be cored but not peeled. | | 2 | ** use 1 8-oz package of brown and serve sausage links. | | 3 | Mix the meat, apple, onion, egg and seasonings together. | | 4 | Divide the mixture into 10 equal parts. | | 5 | Mold each part around a sausage link, sealing the ends. | | 6 | Brown the meat rolls in a large skillet over medium heat. | | 7 | Remove the meat rolls. | | 8 | Pour all but 2 tbls of the fat from the skillet. | | 9 | Stir the flour into the remaining fat. | | 10 | Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and bubbly. | | 11 | Stir in the bouillon and water. | | 12 | Heat to boiling, stirring constantly and then reduce the heat. | | 13 | Return the meat rolls to the skillet; cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. | | 14 | Note: buttered noodles are a good "go-with" for this zesty dish. |
