Sausage-centered hamburger rolls

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbsGround Beef
1 cupApple, Finely Chopped, *
1/3 cupGreen Onion/tops, Chopped
1 eachEgg, Large
1 tbspSalt
1/4 tbspCinnamon
1 dashCloves, Ground
8 ozBrown And Serve Sausage, **
2 tbspFlour, Unbleached
1 tbspInstant Beef Bouillon
1 cupWater
Procedures:
1* apple should be cored but not peeled.
2** use 1 8-oz package of brown and serve sausage links.
3Mix the meat, apple, onion, egg and seasonings together.
4Divide the mixture into 10 equal parts.
5Mold each part around a sausage link, sealing the ends.
6Brown the meat rolls in a large skillet over medium heat.
7Remove the meat rolls.
8Pour all but 2 tbls of the fat from the skillet.
9Stir the flour into the remaining fat.
10Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and bubbly.
11Stir in the bouillon and water.
12Heat to boiling, stirring constantly and then reduce the heat.
13Return the meat rolls to the skillet; cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.
14Note: buttered noodles are a good "go-with" for this zesty dish.
