Roasted figs w/ vanilla ice cream and honey -

Ingredients:
4 largePurple or green figs, halved
-lengthwise
2 tspSugar
1/2 tbspUnsalted butter, cut
-into very small pieces
Vanilla ice cream
2 tbspHoney
Freshly ground pepper (opt.)
4 Sprigs mint, for garnish
Procedures:
1Heat broiler.
2Place figs, cut side up, on a cookie sheet.
3Sprinkle the sugar over the figs and dot with butter.
4Place figs under the broder as close to the flame as possible and cook until they begin to brown around the edges, about 2 minutes.
5Place 2 fig halves on each of 4 plates, along with a scoop of ice cream.
6Drizzle ?tablespoon honey over each scoop of ice cream and sprinkle figs with pepper, if desired.
7Garnish with mint sprigs.
