Ingredients:
8 ozMaple sugar, grated
6 ozWater
4 ozHazelnuts, broken
3 ozWalnuts
14 ozDried prunes
Procedures:
1Place maple sugar & water in a pot.
2Heat slowly without stirring.
3Take off the heat, drop the walnuts into this hot syrup then stir to ensure that all parts are equally coated.
4Add the hazelnuts & prunes alternately & stir well.
5Using a slotted spoon, remove the fruits & nuts from the syrup & allow to cool.
6Any leftover syrup can be eaten with bannock.
