| | Tart Green Apples, cored | | | -and thinly sliced | | 1
| small | Head Red Cabbage, coarsely | | | -chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat oil in a large skillet. | | 2 | Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. | | 3 | Add vinegar, sugar and salt and pepper to taste; stir to mix over moderate heat. | | 4 | Add apple and cabbage, bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium. | | 5 | Cover and let simmer until cabbage wilts, about 10 minutes. | | 6 | Stir occasionally to coat cabbage with sweet-sour mixture. |
