Spanish style rice

Ingredients:
1/2 lbsMushrooms, sliced
4 tbspMargarine
Salt & pepper
2 tbspSweet wine or sherry
1 smallOnion, chopped
1 eachGarlic clove, minced
2 tbspOlive oil
1 1/2 cupLong grain rice
1 medBreen bell pepper, diced
4 medTomatoes, chopped
3 cupHot water
3 eachWhole cloves
1 eachBay leaf
1 dashCayenne
Parsley for garnish
Procedures:
1Saute mushrooms in 2 tb margarine for a few minutes.
2Add salt & pepper.
3Cover & remove from heat.
4Saute the onion & garlic in the oil & remaining margarine.
5Raise heat a little & add the rice, stirring till well coated.
6Add green pepper, tomatoes, hot water, cloves, bay leaf, cayenne, mushrooms & stir.
7Cover, reduce heat & simmer for 15 minutes.
8Add wine after about 10 minutes.
9Remove cloves & bay leaf & sprinkle with parsley before serving.
