Rich chocolate cheesecake

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupChocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 tspGround nutmeg
1/2 cupButter -- melted
24 ozCream cheese -- softened
3/4 cupSugar
3 Eggs
8 ozSour cream
6 Squares semisweet chocolate
Melted
1 tbspCocoa
3/4 tspCocoa
1 1/2 tspVanilla extract
1/2 cupWhipping cream -- whipped
Procedures:
1Additional whipped cream (optional) chocolate curls (optional) almonds (optional) maraschino cherries (optional)
2combine first 3 ingredients, mixing well.
3Press mixture into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan; chill.
4Beat cream cheese with electric mixer until light and fluffy; gradually add sugar, mixing well.
5Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
6Stir in sour cream, melted chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla, mix well.
7Gently fold in whipped cream; spoon into prepared pan.
8Bake at 300°F for 1 hour.
9Turn oven off; allow cheesecake to cool in oven an additional 30 minutes.
10Refrigerate 8 hours.
11Remove sides of pan and garnish with additional whipped cream, chocolate curls, almonds, and cherries.
12Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
