| 1 | Melt chocolate squares, butter and coffee; stir well. |

| 3 | Sift together flour and baking powder. |
| 4 | Beat eggs until foamy; add sugar gradually. |
| 5 | Add vanilla and chocolate mixture. |
| 6 | Stir in flour mixture. |
| 7 | Then stir in chocolate chips and nuts. |
| 8 | Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. |
| 9 | Drop by teaspoonful onto baking sheets. |
| 10 | Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. |
| 11 | Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan. |
| 12 | Makes about 3 dozen cookies. |
| 13 | Dip: partially melt chocolate. |
| 14 | Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate. |
| 15 | Place on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. |
| 16 | Chill for 5-10 minutes, or until chocolate is set. |
| 17 | Serve cookies at room temperature. |
