| cup | Firmly packed brown sugar | | 1/4
| cup | Cocoa | | 1 1/2
| cup | Water | | | Sweetened whipped cream or | | | Ice cream (optional) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa in a greased 9-inch square pan, stirring well. | | 2 | Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla, spreading mixture evenly in pan.combine ?cup sugar, ?cup brown sugar, and ?cup cocoa, and sprinkle mixture evenly over batter. | | 3 | Pour water over top. | | 4 | Bake pudding at 350 °F for 40 minutes. | | 5 | Serve with sweetened whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. | | 6 | Yield: 6 servings.note: chocolate cake pudding bakes into two layers--one like a cake and one like a pudding. | | 7 | Spoon some of both into serving dishes, drizzling the pudding part over the cake part. | | 8 | Top with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. | | 9 | Serve hot or cold |
