Ingredients:
1 cupAll-purpose flour
2 tspBaking powder
1/8 tspSalt
3/4 cupSugar
2 tbspCocoa
1/2 cupMilk
3 tbspButter or margarine, melted
1 tspVanilla extract
1/2 cupSugar
1/2 cupFirmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cupCocoa
1 1/2 cupWater
Sweetened whipped cream or
Ice cream (optional)
Procedures:
1Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa in a greased 9-inch square pan, stirring well.
2Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla, spreading mixture evenly in pan.combine ?cup sugar, ?cup brown sugar, and ?cup cocoa, and sprinkle mixture evenly over batter.
3Pour water over top.
4Bake pudding at 350 °F for 40 minutes.
5Serve with sweetened whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
6Yield: 6 servings.note: chocolate cake pudding bakes into two layers--one like a cake and one like a pudding.
7Spoon some of both into serving dishes, drizzling the pudding part over the cake part.
8Top with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
9Serve hot or cold
