Ingredients:
2 medOnions, chopped
1 largeGreen pepper, diced
1/4 cupOlive oil
2 lbsGround round
6 smallTomatos (or 1 8-ounce can)
2 tspSalt
2 ea Cloves garlic, minced
Black pepper, to taste
1 tbspBrown sugar
1/4 cupVinegar
1/4 cupPimiento-stuffed green
-olives, chopped
1/2 cupRaisins
1 tbspCapers
1/2 cupRed wine, tomato juice or
-bouillon
Procedures:
1Brown onions and green pepper in olive oil.
2Add meat, chopped tomatoes, salt, garlic and black pepper and stir frequently to break up and large chunks.
3Add remaining ingredients and simmer slowly until meat is tender and flavors have developed, about 30 minutes.
4Serve with rice.
