Ingredients:
3 Eggs, beaten
1/2 cupMilk
1/2 cupSugar
2 tbspOrange flower water
1 tbspGrated lemon zest
1/4 cupBrandy
1/2 tspGround nutmeg
8 sliceStale French bread
2 tbspButter
2 tbspVegetable oil
Powdered sugar
Cane syrup
Procedures:
1Submitted by austin leslie, chez helene restaurant combine the eggs, milk, sugar, orange flower water, lemon zest, brandy and nutmeg in a bowl.
2Mix well.
3Soak the bread in the liquid mixture.
4Heat the butter and oil in a heavy frying pan.
5Fry the bread until golden brown on both sides.
6Dust with powdered sugar and serve with warm cane syrup.
