Ingredients:
3/4 cup(1 ?sticks) unsalted
-butter, room temperature
1/2 cupSugar
1 3/4 cupA-p flour
Pn Of salt
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 32Using electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in bowl until well combined.
2Sift flour and salt into butter mixture.
3Using fingertips rub mixture until moist clumps form.
4Gently knead until soft dough forms.
5Divide dough in half.
6Press out 1 dough piece to 9.5" round, about ? thick.
7Roll lightly with rolling pin to smooth top.
8Using 3" diameter cookie cutter, cut out in 8 cookies.
9Reserve scraps.
10Repat pressing, rolling and cutting with remaining dough piece.
11Gather dough scraps together.
12Press out dough scraps to form round and cut out additional cookies.
13Arrange cookies on 2 large baking sheets.
14Pierce each cookie several times with fork.
15Bake until pale golden, about 12 minutes.
16Cool slightly.
17Transfer cookies to racks;cool completely.
