Spiced rum cider

Ingredients:
4 Cinnamon sticks, broken
1 tspAllspice, whole
1 tspWhole cloves
7 cupApple juice
1/3 cupPacked brown sugar
Margarine, or butter
1 cupRum
Procedures:
1Recipe by: jo anne merrill preparation time: 4:00 * rum is optional; use more or less as desired.
2Tie cinnamon, allspice, and cloves in spice bag or cheesecloth.
3In a c kpot, combine spice bag, apple juice, rum and brown sugar.
4Cover; cook on l heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.
5Discard spice bag.
6Ladle hot punch into cups loat about ?teaspoon of butter on top of the cider in each cup.
7Yield: 10 servings of 6 ounces each
