Ingredients:
1 pack4 oz- Orange or Lime Jello
3/4 cupBoiling water
1/2 cupCold water
Ice Cubes
1 tbspLemon juice (optional)
1/2 cupSliced celery
1/2 cupShredded carrot
1/2 cupChopped cabbage
Procedures:
1Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
2Combine cold water and the ice cubes to make 1 ?cups.
3Add to gelatin with lemon juice, stirring until slightly thickened.
4Remove any unmelted ice.
5Fold in vegetables.
6Spoon into individual dessert cups.
7Chill until set - about 30 minutes.
8Additional combinations: along with the sliced celery try grated carrots and golden raisins; or chopped cucumber and chopped pimientos; or drained mandarin orange sections and chopped green pepper.
9Or possibly use the celery and chopped cabbage, chopped apple or sliced ripe or green pitted olives.
