Ingredients:

| cup | Small spiral pasta, or bow | | | Ties, or small shells | | 1
| | 15-oz can white beans | | | Drained, rinsed, and drained | | | Well again | | 2
| | Prepared roasted red bell | | | Peppers, diced (see note) | | 1/4
| cup | Low-fat mayonnaise | | 3
| tbsp | Sun-dried tomato or basil | | | Pesto | | 1 1/2
| tbsp | White wine vinegar or lemon | | | Juice | | 1/8
| tsp | Salt | | | Freshly ground black pepper | | | To taste | | | Optional: | | 1/4
| cup | Minced parsley |

Procedures:
| 1 | Bring a pan of water to the boil, add the pasta and cook according to package directions. | | 2 | Drain. | | 3 | Combine the pasta with the beans and bell peppers. | | 4 | Combine the mayonnaise, pesto, vinegar or lemon juice, salt and pepper. | | 5 | Stir into the salad. | | 6 | Stir in the parsley if using and serve. | | 7 | Note: roasted red bell peppers can be purchased already prepared; major supermarkets often stock them with other condiments |
