Peanut butter muffins

Ingredients:
2 cupFlour (8 oz)
1/3 cupPacked brown sugar (2 oz)
1 tbspBaking powder
1/2 tspSalt
2/3 cupSmooth peanut butter (6 oz)
1 1/3 cupMilk (11 fl oz)
1/4 cupChopped peanuts (2 oz)
1 Egg
1/4 cupMelted butter
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 400 deg f.
2Butter standard muffin cups.
3In a large bowl stir and toss together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
4Set aside.
5In a mixer bowl, beat the peanut butter a few seconds until smooth.
6Add 2 tbsp milk and beat until smooth, add remaining milk and stir well.
7Add egg and melted butter.
8Stir until blended.
9Add milk mixture to dry mixture and stir only until all flour is wetted.
10Batter should be lumpy.
11Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each ?full.
12Bake until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
13Cool muffins in tins for 5 minutes, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
14Makes about 16 muffins.
