Procedures:
| 1 | Shell, devein and wash prawns. | | 2 | Drain and pat dry with paper towels. | | 3 | Add salt, sugar and pepper, mixing well. | | 4 | While oil is heating to 350°F, prepare the battter by beating the egg, adding the flour and cornstarch. | | 5 | Mix thoroughly. | | 6 | Dip prawns in batter, drop in hot oil and deep-fry for 4 minutes. | | 7 | Remove and drain off excess oil. | | 8 | Prepare sauce by combining the listed ingredients. | | 9 | Heat wok, add 1 tablespoon oil, and stir-fry garlic for 1 minute. | | 10 | Add sauce and bring to a boil. | | 11 | Add deep-fried prawns, mix thoroughly, and serve. | | 12 | For deep fried prawms only: follow steps 1 and 2 above. | | 13 | ?cup sitjar"s crispy mix or any type of deep fry chicken batter. | | 14 | Purchase at any chinese grocery store. | | 15 | Add ?cup and 2 tablesoon cold water. | | 16 | Mix well. | | 17 | Heat 2 cups oil to 350°F. | | 18 | Dip prawn in batter and fry for 4 minutes, and serve. |
