| 1 | Wash rice and rinse well. |
| 2 | Add 3 cups water and cook in rice cooker. |
| 3 | To cook on stove, bring rice to a boil in a covered saucepan. |
| 4 | Simmer for 15 minutes. |
| 5 | Remove pan from stove and let sit for another 10-15 minutes. |
| 6 | Mix together vinegar, sugar, and salt, and cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves. |
| 7 | Cool. |
| 8 | Place cooked rice in a large mixing bowl. |
| 9 | Sprinkle half of vinegar sauce over the hot rice; mix gently. |
| 10 | Taste. |
| 11 | Add more vinegar sauce if desired. |
| 12 | Makes 9 cups. |
