Basic sushi rice

Ingredients:
3 cupCalrose rice (uncooked)
3 cupWater
1/2 cupJapanese Rice vinegar
1/2 cupSugar
1 tspSalt
Procedures:
1Wash rice and rinse well.
2Add 3 cups water and cook in rice cooker.
3To cook on stove, bring rice to a boil in a covered saucepan.
4Simmer for 15 minutes.
5Remove pan from stove and let sit for another 10-15 minutes.
6Mix together vinegar, sugar, and salt, and cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
7Cool.
8Place cooked rice in a large mixing bowl.
9Sprinkle half of vinegar sauce over the hot rice; mix gently.
10Taste.
11Add more vinegar sauce if desired.
12Makes 9 cups.
