Ingredients:
1 cupLard
1 cupSugar
2 Eggs
2 cupFlour
1/2 tspBaking soda
5 dropYellow food coloring
1 tspAlmond extract
60 Whole blanced almonds
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350°F.
2Lightly grease two baking sheets.
3In mixing bowl, beat the lard with the sugar unitl fluffy.
4Beat in 1 of the eggs.
5Add the flour and baking soda, stirring just until blended.
6Add the food coloring and extract, stirring until blended.
7Cover tightly with plastic wrap and chill for ?hour.
8Preheat oven to 375°F.
9On work surface, form dough into one 1 or 2 rolls 1 in. in diameter.
10Slice into 60 ?in.
11Rounds and arrange on baking sheets.
12Slightly beat the remaining egg and brush over the rounds.
13Press 1 almond in the center of each round.
14Bake in preheated oven for 15 minute until golden.
