Ingredients:

| cup | Sugar | | 2
| tbsp | Cornstarch | | 2
| cup | Cold water | | 1/4
| cup | Unsalted butter | | 1/4
| cup | Fresh lemon juice | | 3
| tbsp | Lemon peel -- grated |

Procedures:
| 1 | Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. | | 2 | Slowly add the cold water and mix well. | | 3 | Bring mixture to a boil, then add butter, lemon juice and grated lemon peel. | | 4 | Continue to boil slowly until the sauce is thick and opaque. | | 5 | This will take about 10 minutes. | | 6 | Cool, chill if desired, and serve over your choice of desserts. | | 7 | yield: 3-?cups of sauce. | | 8 | recipe by : jo anne merrill |
