Lemon sauce for desserts

Ingredients:
1 cupSugar
2 tbspCornstarch
2 cupCold water
1/4 cupUnsalted butter
1/4 cupFresh lemon juice
3 tbspLemon peel -- grated
Procedures:
1Combine the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
2Slowly add the cold water and mix well.
3Bring mixture to a boil, then add butter, lemon juice and grated lemon peel.
4Continue to boil slowly until the sauce is thick and opaque.
5This will take about 10 minutes.
6Cool, chill if desired, and serve over your choice of desserts.
7yield: 3-?cups of sauce.
