Ingredients:

| oz | Baking chocolate, fine chop | | 1
| each | Cinnamon stick, broken in ?/td> | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 8
| tbsp | Coffee liqueur | | 1/3
| cup | Dark brown sugar, packed | | 2
| each | Cloves, whole | | 1
| cup | Coffee, regular grind, dry | | 1/4
| cup | Brandy |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat water, brown sugar, chocolate, cloves, and cinnamon to boiling in 3-quart saucepan; reduce heat. | | 2 | Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. | | 3 | Stir in coffee. | | 4 | Remove from heat; cover and let stand 5 minutes. | | 5 | Stir in vanilla. | | 6 | Strain coffee through 4 thicknesses of cheesecloth. | | 7 | Cafe diablo: cafe mexicano prepare cafe mexicano; keep hot in saucepan after straining. | | 8 | Heat brandy just until warm in small, long-handled saucepan. | | 9 | Remove from heat; ignite. | | 10 | Pour flaming brandy over coffee. | | 11 | Allow flame to burn out; stir. | | 12 | Pour coffee into cups or mugs. | | 13 | Top each with whipped cream and 1 t liqueur. | | 14 | Garnish with cinnamon stick, if desired |
