Ingredients:
2 cupAlmonds - slivered, slightly
-toasted
12 ozChocolate chips
1 Devil's food cake mix
1 packChocolate pudding - instant
-3-?oz. package
4 Eggs
1 cupSour cream
1/2 cupWater
1/4 cupOil
1 tspVanilla
1 tspAlmond extract
1/4 tspCinnamon
Procedures:
1Calories per serving: number of servings: 0 fat grams per serving: approx. cook time: cholesterol per serving: marks: *directions* sprinkle ?cup almonds on bottom of greased 10-inch tube pan.
2Set aside rest of almonds and chocolate chips.
3Place remaining ingredients in mixer bowl.
4Beat 4 minutes.
5Fold in chips and almonds, then pour into pan.
6Bake in 350°F oven 60 to 70 minutes.
7Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.
8Serve with topping of whipped cream if desired.
9Note from me: a nice touch would be to puncture finished cake with long-tined fork.
10Dribble over cake about ?cup kahlua.
11Then serve with sweetened whipped cream flavored with almond or vanilla extract
