Ingredients:
3/4 cupButter
1 cupSugar
3 xEggs
1 cupBlackberry jam
1 tspBaking soda
3 cupFlour
1 tspCinnamon
1 tspNutmeg
1 tspCloves
1 cupRaisins
1 tspVanilla
3/4 cupButtermilk
1 cupChopped nuts
Procedures:
1Cream butter and sugar well.
2Add eggs, one at a time and cream after each addition.
3Add jam.
4Sift together soda, spices and 2 cups flour.
5Add remaining flour to cream mixture alternately with buttermilk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
6Stir in raisins, nuts and vanilla.
7Pour into two greased 9-inch cake pans.
8Bake at 325°F for 30-45 minutes, or til done.
