Ingredients:
3 1/3 cupCake Flour, sifted
1 tspBaking Powder
1 tspSalt
1 tspCinnamon
1/2 tspCloves
1/2 tspMace
1 cupButter, or shortening
1 cupSugar
6 ea Eggs, well beaten
4 1/2 cupRaisins
4 1/2 cupCurrants
1 cupCitron, thinly cut
1/4 cupGrape juice
3/4 cupLight molasses
Procedures:
1Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder, salt, and spices; sift together three times.
2Cream butter thoroughly, add sugar gradually, and cream together until light and fluffy.
3Add eggs and beat well.
4Add fruit, grape juice, and molasses, and mix well.
5Add flour gradually, beating after each addition until smooth.
6Turn into tube pan, which has been greased, lined with heavy paper, and again greased.
7Bake in very slow oven ( 250°F).

9Makes 5 ?pounds fruit cake.
