Ingredients:

| cup | Shortening | | 2
| tsp | Vanilla | | 2
| cup | Sugar | | 4
| | Eggs -- unbeaten | | 4 1/2
| cup | All-purpose flour -- sifted | | 4
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1
| tsp | Salt | | | FROSTING | | 1/2
| cup | Butter | | 8
| oz | Cream cheese | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1
| lbs | Sugar | | | Milk -- optional |

Procedures:
| 1 | Combine bananas and milk. | | 2 | Cream together shortening and vanilla; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. | | 3 | Add eggs, one at a time, beating well, mix until light and fluffy. | | 4 | Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. | | 5 | Add alternately with bananas and milk to creamed mixture, beating some after each addition. | | 6 | Three 9" pans, greased. | | 7 | Bake: 350f for 30-35 min. | | 8 | cream cream frosting: combine butter, cream cheese, and vanilla. | | 9 | Cream well. | | 10 | Gradually add powdered sugar (sift if lumpy), beating well. | | 11 | If mixture is too thick to spread, add a small amount of milk. | | 12 | recipe by : jennifer perkins |
