| cup | Firm margarine or butter | | | GLAZE | | 1/2

| | To 3 teaspoons milk |

Procedures:
| 1 | Heat oven to 400 °F. | | 2 | Grease square pan, sugar and egg; beat vigorously 30 seconds. | | 3 | Spread half of the batter in pan. | | 4 | Arrange apple slices on batter; sprinkle with half of the streusel topping. | | 5 | Spread remaining batter over apple slices; sprinkle with remaining topping. | | 6 | Sprinkle with nuts. | | 7 | Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 25 minutes; cool. | | 8 | Drizzle with glaze. | | 9 | streusel topping: mix baking mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, cut in margarine until crumbly. | | 10 | glaze: mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and of desired consistency. | | 11 | makes 8 servings. |
