Ingredients:

| cup | Flour | | 1 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/4
| tsp | -Salt | | 1/2
| cup | Butter or shortening | | 1/3
| cup | Milk |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 450 °F. | | 2 | Lightly butter a shallow 1 ?to 2-quart baking dish. | | 3 | Pare the apples and slice. | | 4 | Place in the bottom of the baking dish. | | 5 | Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon, and ?teaspoon salt. | | 6 | Mix molasses ands water and pour over the apples. | | 7 | In a mixing bowl, combineflour, baking powder,and ?teaspoon salt. | | 8 | Cut in butter or shortening, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. | | 9 | Add milk and mix until dough holds together in a ball. | | 10 | On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to a thickness of about 1/3 inch to fit the top of the casserole. | | 11 | Place over apples. | | 12 | Cut vents in the top. | | 13 | Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until golden. | | 14 | Recipe |
