| can | (12 oz) tomato paste | | 3
| tsp | Cayenne pepper | | 1
| can | (28 oz) chili beans | | 1
| tbsp | Red pepper flakes | | 3
| oz | Canned jalapeno peppers | | 5
| tbsp | Chili powder | | | -sliced |

Procedures:
| 1 | Brown beef, onions, and bell pepper. | | 2 | Add garlic. | | 3 | When browned add rest of the ingredients except beans and jalapenos. | | 4 | Simmer for 2 hours. | | 5 | Add beans and jalapeno peppers and simmer for one hour longer. | | 6 | note: for heart-healthy chili, substitute ground turkey for beef in the above recipes |
