Ingredients:
1 lbsCoarsely ground beef
1 lbsDried pinto beans
1 can(6oz) tomato paste
2 cupChopped onions
3 tbspHot unspiced chili powder
1 tbspGround cumin
-salt
-water
Procedures:
1Soak beans in water , covered overnight.
2In a large dutch oven, cook beef until browned, stirring to keep crumbly, drain off drippings, if needed.
3add tomato paste, onions and drained beans.
4mix chili powder, cumin and season to taste with salt.stir into mixture.
5Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender, about 5 hours.
6serves 6
