Ingredients:
2 tspPeanut oil , or
Vegetable oil
1 Red onion , julienne
1/4 lbsSnow peas , cut half on diag
-nal
1 Carrot , julienne
1 Red pepper , julienne or
Yellow pepper
1/4 lbsBean sprouts
1/2 Napa cabbage , julienne
2 tspGinger , chopped
3 clGarlic , chopped
1 quartChicken stock , or v
-egetable stock
2 tspSesame oil
1 tspFish sauce
1/2 tspCayenne
1/4 tspCumin
2 dashSoy sauce , to 3 dashes
Pepper , to taste
Procedures:
1Recipe by: caprial cafe" (chef caprial pence) tv notes 94/09/03 this is an easy soup, lowfat and a way to get alot of nutrional value.
2Can use other vegetables, depending on whats in season, or if you have a garden.
3Bok chow or regular cabbage can be used.
4To cut up, half head, take out core, slice thin.
5In a hot pan add olive oil, add onions, ginger,
6lightly saute breifly till you smell the aroma, add carrots.
7Saute slightly, add peas, red pepper or yellow pepper on any sweet pepper.
8Stir,
9add bean sprouts and napa cabbage.
10(fresh baby zucchini makes a nice addition), add stock.
11Season sesame oil, just a little, add soy sauce, fish sauce, stir.
12Alittle cumin, cayenne (or hot chili sauce, if you have a asian grocery near by), cracked black pepper to taste.
13Serve.
