Ingredients:
12 ozBeef, ground, lean, broiled
Or
12 ozTurkey, ground, cooked
4 cupTomatoes, plum Italian
-(canned, reserve liquid)
- seeded and chopped
1 1/2 cupBell pepper, green, chopped
1 cupOnions, chopped
1 cupCelery, chopped
6 ozBeans, Kidney red
- cooked and drained
1 Garlic clove, minced
1 tspOregano, dried
3/4 tspChili Powder
3 cupRice, long grain, cooked
2 1/4 ozCheese, Cheddar, shredded
18 Olives, Black, large
- pitted
Procedures:
1In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients except rice, cheese, and olives.
2Cover and simmer over low heat 25 minutes.
3Stir in rice; heat through.
4Divide chili among 6 individual serving dishes; top each with equal amounts of cheese and sliced olives.
