Ingredients:
2 pintStrawberries
1/4 To ?cup sugar
2 tbspLemon juice
1 tspVery finely minced thyme
2 cupDry red wine, such as a
-Burgundy or Zinfandel
Procedures:
1Stem the strawberries.
2Leave small berries whole; halve or quarter large ones.
3Place the berries in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar to taste.
4combine the lemon juice, thyme and wine, then pour over the strawberries.
5Refrigerate for least 3 hours++or up to 1 day++before serving.
6The longer the berries marinate, the more wine-flavored they will become.
7serves 4 or 6 (8 as a topping).
