Ingredients:

| cup | Sugar | | 3/4
| cup | Brown Sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Soft butter | | 3
| oz | Unsweetened chocolate, melted | | 3
| | Egg yolks | | 1/4
| cup | Water | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 2
| cup | Cake flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| cup | Milk | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 3
| | Egg whites, stiffly beaten |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream sugars and butter. | | 2 | Add melted chocolate. | | 3 | Beat yolks, add water and vanilla and blend. | | 4 | Gradually add yolk mixture to chocolate mixture, beat until light and fluffy. | | 5 | Sift together flour, salt,and baking soda. | | 6 | Alternately add flour mixture and milk, blending well after each addition. | | 7 | Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry, fold into batter. | | 8 | Turn into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round pans, or one greased and floured 13x9x2 inch pan. | | 9 | Bake layers or loaf in 350°F about 30-35 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched lightly. | | 10 | Turn out on cooling rack. |
