Eggnog mousse

Ingredients:
3 Egg yolks
1/2 cupSugar
1 packUnflavored gelatin
3 tbspDark rum
2 tbspBrandy
2 cupWhipping cream
1/2 cupSugar
1 1/2 tspFreshly ground nutmeg
2 tspVanilla
3 Egg whites
GARNISH
Peppermint candies, crushed
Procedures:
1Beat egg yolks and ?cup sugar in stainless-steel bowl over hot water on top half of double boiler until they lighten in color and become fluffy (about 2 minutes).
2Add gelatin that has been softened in rum and brandy to egg mixture and continue beating for another minute.
3Remove mixture from heat and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
4Meanwhile, whip cream, ?cup sugar, nutmeg, and vanilla together.
5Beat egg whites until they form firm peaks.
6Fold whipped cream into chilled gelatin mixture, mixing thoroughly.
7Carefully fold in egg whites.
8Chill for 4-6 hours.
9Garnish with crushed peppermint candies.
