Doughboys aka mulesadas

Ingredients:
1/4 cupWater, lukewarm
1 packYeast
1 cupMilk
3/4 cupSugar
2 tspSalt
1/4 cupShortening
2 Eggs
5 cupFlour
2 cupShortening for fryer
Procedures:
1Soften yeast in lukewarm water with a pinch of sugar.
2Heat milk, sugar, salt and shortening until melted.
3Pour into a bowl until lukewarm, add yeast and eggs, mix well.
4Add flour and knead.
5Place in greased bowl and let rise 1 ?hrs.
6when light, move bowl to a ready place near the stove or deep-fat fryer.
7Heat fryer 400 degrees.
8Add second batch of shortening, about 3-4 inches deep.
9Take a handful of dough.
10Stretch it out as much as you can between your hands.
11Drop slowly into hot shortening.
12Cook "til brown.
13Turn over, cook other side till done.
14Drain on paper towels.
15Sprinkle sugar on top while still warm.
