Double-boiler bread pudding

Ingredients:
1 cupBrown sugar, packed
3 sliceWhite bread, buttered
-cut into ?in. cubes
2 Eggs
2 cupMilk
1/2 tspSalt
1 tspVanilla
Procedures:
1Place brown sugar in top of double boiler.
2Place bread cubes on top of sugar.
3Beat eggs with milk, salt and vanilla and pour over bread.
4Place over simmering water, cover and cook 1 ?hours.
5Do not stir.
6Brown sugar forms sauce in bottom of pan.
7Turn pudding into serving dish
