Ingredients:
| 3/4
| cup | Butter or margarine | | 1 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 3
| | Eggs | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla Extract | | 1 1/3
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 3
| tbsp | Baking cocoa | | 1/2
| cup | Chopped nuts, optional | | 4
| cup | Miniature marshmallows | | | TOPPING | | 1 1/3
| cup | (8-oz.) chocolate chips | | 3
| tbsp | Butter or margarine | | 1
| cup | Peanut butter | | 2
| cup | Crisp rice cereal |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. | | 2 | Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. | | 3 | Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa; add to creamed mixture. | | 4 | Stir in nuts if desired. | | 5 | Spread in a greased jelly roll pan. | | 6 | Bake at 350°F for 15 - 18 minutes. | | 7 | Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over cake; return to oven for 2 - 3 minutes. | | 8 | Using a knife dipped in water, spread the melted marshmallows evenly over cake. | | 9 | Cool. | | 10 | For topping, combine chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter in a small saucepan. | | 11 | Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted nd well blended. | | 12 | Remove from heat; stir in cereal. | | 13 | Spread over bars. | | 14 | Chill. | | 15 | yield: about 3 dozen. |
