| 1 | Grease 2 large baking sheets. |
| 2 | Place on wire racks. |
| 3 | In heavy 1 ?quart saucepan, add first 3 ingredients, stiring constantly. |
| 4 | Boil over medium heat. |
| 5 | Cook with out stirring til mixture is 300 degrees on candy thermometer. |
| 6 | Stir in peanut butter, blend well. |
| 7 | Remove from heat. |
| 8 | Quickly, but gently, stir in soda. |
| 9 | Immediately pour onto cookie sheets. |
| 10 | Don"t spread. |
| 11 | Cool for 3 to 5 minutes till cool enough to handle. |
| 12 | With hands grasp candy by edges, lifting slightly, pull as thin as possible. |
| 13 | Cool. |
| 14 | Break into irregular pieces. |
| 15 | Store in tightly covered container. |
| 16 | Makes 1 ?pounds. |
