| 1 | Place sugar, water, corn syrup and cream of tartar in saucepan. |
| 2 | Boil to soft ball stage. |
| 3 | Remove from heat. |
| 4 | Divide into two equal parts. |
| 5 | Add peppermint flavoring to one part witha few drops of green food coloring. |
| 6 | To remaining half, add wintergreen with a few frops of red food coloring. |
| 7 | Beat each portion until creamy. |
| 8 | Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. |
| 9 | If candy becomes too hard to handle, place in a pan of hot water to soften. |
| 10 | To make licorice flavored mints, add ?teaspoon anise and a few drops of yellow food coloring or leave white. |
| 11 | Yield: 4 dozen. |
