Ingredients:

| cup | Mashed potatoes | | 3
| lbs | Lean pork, ground | | 1
| cup | Water | | 1/4
| tsp | Nutmeg | | 1/4
| tsp | Allspice | | 1
| tbsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tsp | Pepper | | 1/2
| cup | Onion, chopped | | | Pastry for 2 (2 crust) pies |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a saucepan, combine the ground pork, water, nutmeg, allspice, salt, pepper and onion. | | 2 | Cook over moderate heat for 30 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking. | | 3 | Remove from heat; add the mashed potatoes; and mix well. | | 4 | Cool. | | 5 | Fill two pastry-lined plates;adjust top crusts, slashing pastry to allow for the steam to escape as the pies bake. | | 6 | Bake in a hot oven, 425 °F., for 40 minutes. | | 7 | Serve hot or cold. |
