Overnight hashed brown potatoe casserole

Ingredients:
2 lbsFrozen hashed brown potatoes
1/4 lbsButter
1 pintSour cream
1 canMushroom soup
8 ozChedder cheese, shredded
1 Onion, grated
3/4 cupMilk* (optional)
Procedures:
1Cut butter into potatoes.
2Mix rest of ingred. together; pour over top of potatoes.
3Toss.
4*?- ?c. milk can be used in place of one-half of the sour cream.
5It will make a moister casserole, if desired.
6Uncovered.
7I have used cheddar cheese soup, but reduce the butter as it will be greasy with both.
8I also put additional shredded cheese on top during the second half hour of baking.
9Doubles well.
10Can be refrigerated overnight after mixing all together.
