Fiesta tamale pie

Ingredients:
1 tbspVegetable oil
1 Clove garlic
-peeled & crushed
1 smallOnion, minced
1 lbsLean ground beef
1/4 lbsBulk pork sausage
16 ozStewed tomatoes, undrained
16 ozWhole kernel corn, drained
1 1/2 tbspSalt
1 1/2 tbspChili powder
18 Pitted ripe olives
2 Eggs, well beaten
1 cupCorn meal
1 cupMilk
1 cupGrated Cheddar cheese
Procedures:
1Combine vegetable oil, onion and garlic in a large, heat- resistant, non-metallic mixing bowl; heat, uncovered, in micro- wave oven 2 minutes or until onion is tender.
2Add ground beef and sausage to onion and garlic.
3Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 5 minutes or until meat is browned.
4Stir occasionally.
5Drain excess fat.
6Add tomatoes, corn, salt and chili powder to meat mixture.
7Heat, uncovered, in microwave oven 4 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil.
8While meat mixture is cooking, combine eggs, corn meal and milk in a medium-sized bowl.
9Blend thoroughly.
10Set aside Pour meat mixture into an 8-inch square, heat-resistant, non- metallic baking dish.
11Press olives into meat mixture.
12Spoon corn meal mixture over meat mixture.
13Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
14Heat, uncovered, 10 minutes or until cheese melts
